About me
Dr. Diana Rubio, MD, is a first-generation Latina family physician. She is currently the Robert L. Phillips Jr. Health Policy Fellow at the Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies in Family Medicine and Primary Care. Dr. Rubio earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her medical degree from the University of Minnesota. Following her education, she returned to the greater Washington, DC area to complete her residency at the MedStar Health/Georgetown-Washington Hospital Center Family Medicine Residency Program where she served as Education Chief and Chief Resident. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Rubio serves on the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Organization of Resident Representatives and acts as a resident liaison for the AAMC Group on Diversity and Inclusion. Her professional interests include addressing minority health disparities, promoting health equity, and advancing medical education.
