As Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools develop, leaders in academic family medicine need to be actively involved in shaping the way this technology is utilized in healthcare settings. While AI has great promise to contribute to more effective and efficient care, leaders must be well versed in opportunities as well as challenges associated with implementation, including potential bias and data privacy. This session will offer an overview of AI and machine learning, with a focus on applications in clinical and administrative operations. Attendees will hear from panelists who have started utilizing various AI tools within their departments to demonstrate lessons learned and future possibilities.
